Canon L400
The Canon L400 is a quality all-in-one printer, copier and fax machine. Monochrome only, this machine prints strictly in black-and-white, using only one Canon L400 toner cartridge. With a flatbed surface and automatic document feeder, this will fit many office needs.
A fax machine at heart, the Canon L400 has the ability to send faxes in as little as 3 seconds per page. It has a modem speed of 33.5 Kbps, which is quite fast. Direct transmission and memory transmission are both included, and it has a memory of 250 pages. Memory reception, dual access, error correction mode and delayed transmission are all included. It also comes with a password user restriction, offering security to your office.
The fax also has 30 one-touch speed dials and 100 coded-speed dials. Up to 129 group dials can be programmed as well. Automatic redial, dial search, fax/telephone auto switch, answering machine and remote reception options are all included to. If you wish to have a telephone handset, though, that must be purchased separately.
The scanner will hold about 50 sheets in its automatic document feeder. It can scan one page in about 4.3 seconds, and it has up to 256 shades of grey scale. The printer uses only one Canon L400 toner cartridge to print up to 14 pages per minute. Using the black printer toner, a resolution of 600×600 dpi can be obtained. It has a Canon L400 toner save mode, which will help you preserve toners.
The copier has the ability to create up to 99 copies from an original document, and these can be printed with a 1200×600 dpi resolution using Canon L400 toner. Only 14 copies can be made each minute, though. Enlargements and reductions can be made from 50%-200%. For a fax machine with printing, copying and scanning features, the Canon L400 really excels.
